New initiative for parish youth - Sunday 1st March 2026, 5.30pm to 7.15pm in the Parish Centre
St Pier Giorgio Frassati

Many young people are coming to faith in these times and, as representatives of the youth of St Robert’s Parish, we want to invite those aged 16 to 30 to join us for an evening of friendship and food during which we will watch, together, a short film about St Pier Giorgio Frassati’s life. If the following words of St Pier Giorgio speak to your heart, join us for this initial meeting and let’s see where the Lord, through the intercession of St Pier Giorgio Frassati, takes us:
"Every one of you knows that the foundation of our religion is charity. Without it, all our religion would crumble, because we would not truly be Catholics as long as we did not carry out, or rather shape our whole lives by the two commandments in which the essence of the Catholic Faith lies: to love God with all our strength and to love our neighbour as ourselves. And here is the explicit proof that the Catholic Faith is based on real love and not, as so many would like, in order to quiet their consciences, to base the religion of Christ on violence. With violence, hatred is sown, and then its evil fruits are gathered. With charity, Peace is sown among men, but not the peace of the world, True Peace, which only faith in Jesus Christ can give, binding us together in brotherly love."
Initial Meeting with light refreshments:
Sunday 1st March in St Robert’s Parish Centre from 5.30pm to 7.15pm

Heavenly Father, give me the courage to strive for the highest goals, to flee every temptation to be mediocre.
Enable me to aspire to greatness, as Pier Giorgio did, and to open my heart to Your call to holiness.
Free me from the fear of failure.
I want to be, Lord, firmly and forever united to you.
Grant me the graces I ask You through Pier Giorgio’s intercession, by the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Confession is not always the easiest sacrament to approach and many Catholics may find themselves 'holding back'. However, whenever we do approach the Lord in this sacrament we will always find a welcome, understanding, compassion and forgiveness. There is an opportunity to make your confession before Easter when four priests will be available in church from 7pm to 8pm on Wednesday 20th March. Please do come along and find peace in the sacrament of forgiveness.

The initiative "Apologia" will return in Lent with an exploration of the Catholic Church's understanding of suffering. The date is Sunday 15th March at 5pm to 6.30pm in the parish centre. The sessions got off to a good start in September with a walk through the elements of the Mass. This was followed by the second se

A new series of Sycamore, the video presentations designed to teach and guide discussion about faith, has been published and we began the series with two identical sessions in mid - January - a Wednesday morning and a Sunday evening for those who can't make during the week. This will be the pattern for future sessions.

The Baptism Mass will take place at 11am on Sunday 15th February 2026 when children will be baptised into the Church and our parish family. Please pray for our children to be baptised, their parents and godparents as they all prepare, together, for this momentous day in the spiritual journey of these little ones.

Thank you to Marie and her team and all the young people who took part in the Children's Holiday Bible Camp this year. The focus on the Mass produced a great deal of fruit. The children learned about the virtues of patience, faith, generosity. They experienced Adoration and contributed to the final Mass of the week
