St Robert’s SchoolList Item 3
Thanks to Miss Collins, the staff and the children of St Robert's primary school who regularly augment the choir at the 9am Sunday morning Mass and who presented a wonderful performance of 'Joseph' in the church in the summer.
-
Childrens’ LiturgyList Item 4
We're grateful to Suzanne and her hard working team who provide and facilitate the childrens' liturgy at the 9am Mass. It's great to see the numbers growing and to witness the happy faces when they return at the offertory.
-
Catechesis
It's good to have a team of catechists - Sue, Katherine, Hayley, Emma, Elena and Margaret - who, along with the parish priest, accompany our children through the sacraments of initiation and Confirmation. It's also good to witness how seriously their parents took their responsibility to be the first teachers of their children in the ways of faith.
-
Baptism
A new catechetical presentation has been formulated by the clergy to help prepare young parents as they present their children for baptism. Pray for them as they experience all the wonderful elements of being a parent.
-
Mary's Angels
Mum’s and children are valued members of our church family so come and join us in the parish centre, for friendship fun and refreshments.
All free!
All children from 0-4 years welcome. Dads and grandparents welcome too!
Join us for friendships, fun and refreshments
1.30-3pm on the first and third Monday of every month, term time only.
-
School Chaplaincy
Pray for the deanery priests and their work with the children of St Robert's and St John Fisher's and for them and their fellow chaplains and school governors who seek to support the Headteachers and staff in their important mission of education.
-
Altar Serving
Thank you to our young servers who help bring a deeper dimension to our parish liturgies. If any of our young people who have made their first reconciliation would like to join the serving team, please speak to Fr Simon or one of the serving team.
-
Catholic Schools
Tremendous work is done in our Catholic schools in general education and in forming our children in the ways of faith. We pray for Mr Mort, Miss Collins and all the teachers, staff and children of our schools.
