St Robert’s Mens’ Group meets on average once a term for prayer, social evening and a meal together. The next meet up is Wednesday 21st May.

Beginning  with the usual adoration in church from 6.30pm. We will then repair to the parish centre at 7pm for drinks and a talk by a well known parishioner. . The talk will be followed by a two course meal. Do join us for what should be an enjoyable evening. A sign up sheet is available in the narthex simply to give an idea of numbers. A nominal charge of £15 to cover costs will be payable on the night by cash or card. Any monies left over will go into the St Robert's Building Fund.

Quotes from the Mental Health Foundation

In England, one in eight men has a common mental health problem such as depression or anxiety.
Three times as many men as women die by their own hand.
Men generally report lower levels of life satisfaction.
Men are less likely to access therapies than women.
Men are more likely to end up sleeping rough, abusing alcohol and drugs than women

It’s not hard to draw the conclusion that men need to work harder to establish their mental wellbeing by finding support in friendship, prayer and fraternity.
