REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY CONCERT IN LEEDS CATHEDRAL: Sunday 9th November, 3pm. Leeds Cathedral Choir, with members of The Sixteen and Genesis Sixteen, directed by Harry Christophers, will be singing Fauré's Requiem, and music by Bach, Byrd, Parry and Sheppard. Admission is free with suggested donation of £10. 

 

LEEDS CATHEDRAL GUIDED TOURS AUTUMN PROGRAMME: Free Guided Tours will take place on the following dates: Saturday 8th November, at 1.30pm; and Saturday 13th December, at 1.30pm. The tours last about 1 hour. No booking is required. On arrival, please gather by the Baptismal Font at the back of the Cathedral.

 

ANNUAL SERVICE AT KILLINGBECK CEMETERY NOVEMBER – MONTH OF THE HOLY SOULS: Sunday 9th November at 2.30pm. All the Diocese are invited to come to the cemetery and pray for the deceased members of the Diocese and extended family. The service, led by Canon Patrick Wall, Dean of East Leeds, will be in the chapel with readings, hymns, and rosary. Weather permitting, we will walk around the clergy circle reciting the rosary.

 

PRIESTLY VOCATIONS DISCERNMENT MEETINGS: Time for prayers, questions, input from a priest and social time. There are two groups meeting simultaneously; under 18s and over 18s. Fridays 6.30pm-8.15pm: 14th November (Cathedral Hall), 19th December (Venue TBC).

FEMININE GENIUS RETREAT DAY: THIS ONE-DAY RETREAT WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY 15TH NOVEMBER AT LEEDS TRINITY UNIVERSITY AND LED BY THE NEW EVE FOUNDATION WITH THE DIOCESAN FAITH FORMATION TEAM. ST JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC COLLEGE PAST PUPILS’ DAY: All former pupils and staff are invited to attend on Saturday 15th November. Arrivals from 11:00 am, Mass 11:30 am, Lunch after Mass (£12). DIOCESAN LOURDES PILGRIMAGE VOLUNTEERS INFORMATION EVENING: Ever thought of going on the Diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes volunteering as a nurse or as part of the hospitality team but want to know more, then you are invited to an information evening about the roles and pilgrimage. WOMEN OF HOPE - AN ADVENT WEEKEND RETREAT - 12th - 14th December at The Briery, Ilkley. CATHOLIC CARE IS HOSTING TWO CHRISTMAS LUNCH PARTIES: St John the Evangelist, Bradford on Tuesday 16th December, 12:30pm and St Winefride’s Church Hall, Bradford on Wednesday 17th December, 1pm. BEREAVEMENT ACCOMPANIMENT TRAINING: Elizabeth Prout Bereavement Care are offering a two day training course in bereavement accompaniment on Saturdays 11th and 18th January 2026 at The Briery Retreat Centre in Ilkley. The cost is £70 and includes a cooked 2 course lunch and refreshments on both days. ANNUAL LOURDES DINNER DANCE: Friday 13th February 2026 at the Met hotel in Leeds. Tickets are available from Phil Marshall at £45 or £400 for a table of 10. The ticket price includes reception drink, a 3 course Meal, Tea & coffee, DJ and entertainment throughout the evening.
