JOIN BISHOP MARCUS IN PRAYING FOR VOCATIONS: Our Lady of Unfailing Help! Pray that the Lord of the Harvest will send labourers into His harvest and that He will grant an abundance of vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life within the Diocese of Leeds, and throughout the world. Amen.


LEEDS CATHEDRAL GUIDED TOURS SUMMER PROGRAMME: A Free Guided Tour will take place on the following Saturdays during the spring and summer months: 18 July and 8 August, when the tours start at 1.30pm. The tour lasts about 1 hour.  No booking is required.  On arrival, please gather by the Baptismal Font at the back of the Cathedral. 


CATHOLIC CARE GARDEN PARTY: Join us on Sunday 19th July 12.30pm at Catholic Care Head Office for our summer fundraiser! Enjoy live music from Voices of Yorkshire, a BBQ, games, raffles, cakes and more. Browse the clothes and book sale, try henna and relax with friends and family. Free entry and all proceeds support Catholic Care’s vital work in the local community.


SUMMER FAYRE AT THE BRIERY, ILKLEY: Sunday 19th July 2-4pm All are welcome to come and enjoy our delicious scones, browse our large selection of craft and book stalls, relax in the house and gardens, and of course try your luck at the raffle and tombola! CANTONESE MASS IN LEEDS: Friday 24th July 2026 at 6.00pm in St Francis of Assisi church, Westfield Road, Morley LS27 9NF, celebrated by Fr Bruno Lepeu, with Confessions from 5.15pm. After Mass, there will a gathering in the parish hall, to which you are warmly invited - please bring along some light refreshments or snacks to share.

PILGRIMAGE OF REPARATION AND PRAYER FOR THE SANCTITY OF LIFE: Saturday, 1st August 2026, Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. Pilgrim Mass 12:00noon. Eucharistic Adoration, Stations of the Cross, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Litany of Life and Benediction, Rosary and a silent walk as an Act of Reparation. ONE & THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE IN SUPPORT OF ST PATRICK'S MISSION: Saturday, August 8, St Patrick's Mission will be hiking the Yorkshire Three Peaks to support the ongoing ministry in Bradford city centre. We will visit St. Paul’s Grotto, St John’s Co-Cathedral, the Ta’ Pinu Basilica and the church of St Paul's shipwreck. ADOREMUS EUCHARISTIC FESTIVAL 2026: SAVE THE DATES: 10 - 11th October. This year, after major Eucharistic events in Liverpool and Birmingham, the Adoremus Eucharistic Festival turns to London over two days. The event will include Mass in Southwark Cathedral, a keynote address, a procession of the Blessed Sacrament, Benediction and an all-night vigil in Westminster Cathedral. More details to follow.


LEEDS CATHEDRAL – AUGUST TIMETABLE INFORMATION: Leeds Cathedral will be closed on weekdays throughout August to enable essential works on the lighting system. Mass will be held in Cathedral Hall, times will vary to the usual schedule. Please see the attached flyer or the Cathedral website for more information.


LEEDS CATHEDRAL – AUGUST TIMETABLE INFORMATION: Leeds Cathedral is undertaking some essential works to upgrade the lighting system throughout August. To ensure health & safety, the Cathedral will be unable to open on weekdays for the duration of the works. Monday – Wednesday in Cathedral Hall: Access from 11.30am, Rosary at 12noon, Mass at 12.30pm. Thursday & Friday in Cathedral Hall: Access from 10am, Rosary at 10.30am, Mass at 11am. Mass will be held in the Cathedral at 5.30pm on Fridays (Access from 5pm, Evening Prayer at 5.10pm), and at the usual times on Saturday and Sunday. There will be no confessions on weekdays.


RELIGIOUS FREEDOM UNITED NATIONS PETITION: Aid to the Church in Need has launched its first-ever global petition on religious freedom, calling on governments and the United Nations to do more to defend the right to believe, and to ensure that those responsible for persecution are held to account. AFGHAN WELCOME PROJECT: Dioceses across the North-West are partnering with Catholic Care (Leeds) to help Afghan families resettle in the UK with support from local communities. We are seeking volunteers, community groups, landlords and property owners to get involved. ONLINE GOSPEL MEDITATIONS: Throughout the year, the Briery Retreat Team deliver fortnightly guided meditations via Zoom, with time for reflection and sharing.
