Welcome Home

_

Welcome home to the Catholic Church

For two thousand years, the family of the Catholic Church has celebrated life and prayed for our world. We cared for the poor, started hospitals, blessed marriages and educated generations of children. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we compiled the New Testament scriptures, our beliefs rooted and founded in the Old Testament. We are the Catholic Church. With over one billion people in our family in a Church founded by Christ Himself on the rock of St Peter.

If you’ve been away for a while or are looking for a Church which reflects your inner feelings of faith, come home.  You will always be welcome in St Robert’s parish.

Make yourself known to Fr Simon and, if you are not a Catholic and would like to join a journey with others towards becoming a full member of the Church, we can make that happen.

In the autumn of each year a group is formed to journey in faith. Members of the group will be prepared, should they wish, to be received into the Catholic Church at Easter in the following year.  More information about the process of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults can be found in the video at the bottom of this page.
