All Souls' Commemoration

Fr Simon will be at Stonefall Cemetery on Sunday 1st November from 1230pm to bless the graves as directed by any families who wish their loved ones' graves to be blessed.  It's an opportunity to remember our loved ones and pray for their souls at the beginning of the month of November, dedicated to the Holy Souls.  Then, on the evening of All Souls Day - Monday 2nd November, at 7pm in church, there will be a special All Souls' Mass at which we will remember all our dead but particularly those who have died in the past year and whose funerals have taken place in St Robert's Church.  Families of those people have been invited to take a special part - as their loved one is remembered in the Mass they will bring forward a candle to burn on the sanctuary in memory of the one they have lost. It's a very moving Mass and there will be refreshments served after in the parish centre with the traditional 'soul cakes' being served. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them, may they rest in peace. Amen.
