Construction work in the Narthex
Narthex refurbishment
Next time you attend church you will see that the suspended ceiling has been taken down in the Narthex. This is part of a refurbishment plan for the entrance to the church. As electrical work and plastering takes place in the coming weeks, the original shape of the Narthex will return. New lighting to match the chandeliers in the church is planned along with glass entrance doors. The oriel window which has been covered up is also now revealed and will be restored in due course. Hopefully, there will be minimal disruption to accessing the church but, if the main door is ever impassable, the side door from the carpark will be open.

Grief is a heavy burden to carry alone. This is a relaxed, welcoming drop-in where you can talk about loss or just sit with others who understand. St Robert's parishioners recently took part in the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes, sharing in a wonderful spiritual journey of faith and fellowship. During the pilgrimage, many prayers were offered for our parish community at the Blessed Grotto, entrusting our intentions to the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes.
As mentioned a few weeks ago at Mass, the newly carved stone cross, which replaces the crumbling Victorian one taken down on safety grounds a couple of years' ago, was installed high above the main door of the church in the summer.
