Children's Holiday Bible Camp

“Marvellous Mystery – the Mass comes alive”

The Mass is a MYSTERY that Jesus wants us to learn more about. The Virtue was PATIENCE (the ability to wait without grumbling or complaining). The children learned about the different parts and postures of the Mass, the joy that we receive as we come and unite ourselves to the one body of Christ. The children learned about the virtue of FAITH. The children also learned about the Last Supper and about “transubstantiation”.  While it is truly an act of faith to acknowledge and believe that Christ is truly present in the Eucharist, their pure little hearts seem to truly take in the beauty of this precious gift! The Virtue of the day was GENORISTY and the children focused more on being generous with our time and talents. It was wonderful to see our children giving of their talents at Mass today; we had an Altar Server and excellent readers, not to mention the “choir” of little voices filling the church. The highlight was being able to celebrate a few minutes of Adoration (the children learned all about the monstrance and what it means to go to Adoration) the holy Mass. It was especially wonderful to have all those parents who were able to attend Mass and then join us for our fun celebration party to end the week.

We can’t wait to do it all again in 2026!

If you missed this year's camp, look out for the same event in July 2026!

Look out for a series of sessions planned for the parish in the autumn. Designed to help us to a better understanding of our faith they will also help us to defend it more cogently in a world where people seem to be increasingly looking for meaning.
